Project Development Objective (Note: will be disclosed in the MOS) This is the second in a series of DPOs. It is an IDA Credit in the amount of US$50 million. The PIRSC 2 aims to: (i) improve the quality, reliability and accountability of the country's public finance management (PFM) and public investment management (PIM) systems; (ii) establish the policy and regulatory framework necessary for a well-functioning public irrigation sector, including a model for the multipurpose operation of the Kandadji Dam; and (iii) facilitate the reform of the electricity sector.
