Development Objective

The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to contribute to improving the management and governance in the mining sector at the subnational level in Select Provinces in the Member Country’s territory through a collaborative social accountability mechanism. The achievement of the Objective will be supported by the following work components: Component 1. Capacity-building for collaborative social accountability Component 2. Implementing collaborative social accountability mechanisms Component 3. Improving knowledge learning and sharing on social accountability in the mining sector at the provincial level Component 4. Project management and implementation unit support Progress in achieving the PDO will be measured by the following key result indicators: (a) Percentage of problems in the licensing systems identified and followed up through the project’s Multi Stakeholders Forums (MSFs). (b) Percentage of problems in revenue management identified and followed up through the project’s MSFs.
