Indonesia is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world and exposed to a range of natural hazards that can hinder its development outcomes, affecting its people and the economy. Located in the Pacific Ring of Fire with 127 active volcanoes across the archipelago nation, Indonesia experiences frequent earthquakes and tsunamis, as well as floods.
