M-6 Minsk-Grodno-Polish border (Bruzgi) Road Upgrading

Invitation for Prequalification ICB 001/2015

 

 

This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for the Project appeared in Development Business No WB4877-09/14 of September 25, 2014 on-line.

 

Republic of  Belarus has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Transit Corridor ImprovementProject, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the following the M-6 "Minsk-Grodno-Polish border (Bruzgi) road upgrading Contracts:

        Contract 1: Upgrading of 10.881 km road section (km 57.3 km 68.181) including earth works in the volume of about 450 000 m3, asphalt works in the volume of about 32 000 m3, construction of precast concrete bridges, overpasses and culverts for the total area of about 2 700 m2.  

        Contract 2: Upgrading of 22.889 km roadsection (km 68.181 km 91.07) including earthworks in the volume of about 690 000 m3, asphalt works in the volume of about  50 000 m3, construction of precast concrete bridges, overpasses and culverts for the total area of about 4 000 m2.

        Contract 3: Upgrading of  16.93 km road section (km 91.07 km 108) including earthworks in the volume of about 525 000 m3, asphalt works in the volume of about  53 000 m3, construction of precast concrete bridges, overpasses and culverts for the total area of about 3 000 m2.

        Contract 4: Upgrading of 22.4 km road section (km 108 km 130.4) including earthworks in the volume of about 640 000 m3, asphalt works in the volume of about  64 000 m3, construction of precast concrete bridges, overpasses and culverts for the total area of about 3400 m2.

        Contract 5: Upgrading of 13.3 km road section (km 197.7 km 211.0) including earthworks in the volume of about 440 000 m3, asphalt works in the volume of about 64 000 m3, construction of precast concrete bridges, overpasses and culverts for the total area of about 240 m2.

 

In addition to these main categories of the works upgrading will also include local re-alignments to the existing road, cutting of trees, installation of culverts, road safety elements, bus-stops, rest areas, lighting facilities, underground pedestrian crossings, anti-noise barries, re-location: of gas pipelines, high voltage power lines and communication line.

 

It is expected that invitations to bid will be made in November 2015.

 

Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits,  (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Guidelines.

 

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information, and inspect the Prequalification documents, from the RUE "Minskavtodor-Center" at the address below during office hours from09.00 to 17.00 (local time). The Prequalification Document in English or Russian may be obtained by interested bidders free of charge on the submission of a written application to the address below. The Document will be sent by e-mail.

 

Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by 18 September, 2015, and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalify for M-6 "Minsk-Grodno-Polish border (Bruzgi) Road Upgrading".
