The Government of the People’sRepublic of Bangladesh has received finan cing in the amount of US$ 240 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost ofthe Sustainable Coastal and Marine Fishe ries Project (SCMFP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to paymentsfor goods, works, non-consulting services and co nsulting services to be procured under thisproject.

 

The project will include the following components:

Component 1: EnablingSustainable Fisheries Sector Investment and Growth

Component 2: Im proving Infrastructure and productionpractices

Component 3: Community Empowerment and livelihood Transfo rmation

Component4: Project Management and Monitoring

GD2: Su pply and installationof VMS including Transponders and relevant Hardware and Software

GD3: Supply and in stallation of VMSstation hardware and development of computer software at Potenga Office.

 GD6: Sup ply andinstallation of AIS in 10,000   motorized artisanal boats (Frame work contract for 4 years)

GD7(i): Supply of Patrol Boat (surveillance)/ Vessel for MFSC- 8 nos.

GD10: Supply andinstallation of equipment and software development for digitization of DoF and documentary archive

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures aas specified in the Consultant

Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016, revisedNovember 2017 (Procurement R d is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations.[1]The agreed initial procuremen t plan and all subsequent updates will be published on the Bank’s external website once theBank has provided a no objection.< /p>

 

Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to openinternational competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online, on theWorld Bank’s external website and www.fishe ries.gov.bd
