Development Objective

The proposed Sri Lanka Education Sector Development Grant (ESDG) will support the GOSL Education Sector Development Framework and Program (ESDFP) 2006-2010. The Project's overall objective is to: (a) promote equitable access to basic education (grades 1-9) and secondary education (grades 10-13);(b) improve the quality of education, (c) enhance the economic efficiency and equity of resource allocation and distribution within the education system, and (d) strengthen education governance and service delivery.
