The 110 families that live in the village of Hard Yeun are among the 200,000 households that now have electricity through a World Bank Group-supported program.
The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today provided new financing of US$30 million for the Power Grid Improvement Project Lao PDR, which aims to improve the efficiency and reliability of the country’ s electricity distribution network.
The objective of the project is to help improve the efficiency and reliability of power distribution in the selected load areas served by Electricité du Laos (EDL).
