Nearly 2 million people in the Sahel have benefitted from the World Bank financing that provided emergency relief to support food and humanitarian assistance, as well as to promote investments in the next season’s production, thus ensuring a post-shock recovery.
The World Bank approved a $41 million grant to the Government of Chad from the IDA to promote the adoption of technological innovations in the agricultural sector, sustainably boost productivity, and enhance climate resilience in targeted areas.
The project will help promote the adoption of improved technologies leading to increased productivity and enhance the climate resilience of agricultural production systems in the areas targeted by the project.
