Abstract*

The Irrigation Rehabilitation Project will help develop a systematic approach to rehabilitation of medium size irrigation schemes, which comprise more than 140,000 ha of rice fields. It thus constitutes the first phase of a long-term program to rehabilitate approximately 116 such medium-size irrigation schemes.
