The proposed Bank loan would be used to assist in financing a project which would increase the pipeline capacity in Iran. It includes three elements: (i) to increase the maximum capacity of the Ahwaz-Tehran (Rey) crude oil pipeline from about 94,000 to about 116,000 barrels per day; (ii) to construct a new Tehran (Rey) - Tabriz oil pipeline with an initial average capacity of about 17,500 barrels of gas oil per day; and (iii) to increase the capacity...
