Abstract*

The Second Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Project (PROMIN II) will help extend the coverage of the PROMIN program and will have the same objective of improving maternal and child health status. The project will help the Government: a) increase coverage of maternal and prenatal care services to 60 percent; b) increase pediatric coverage of children aged 0-6 to 60 percent; c) transform 40 percent of existing child feeding centers and kindergartens...

THE PROPOSED PROJECT WOULD BE A SECOND PHASE OF THE ONGOING MCHN PROJ, COVERING ADDITIONAL MUNICIPALITIES IN THE SIX PROVINCES ALREADY PARTICIPATING IN THE FIRST PROJECT, AS WELL AS OTHER PROVINCES THAT COMPLY WITH THE AGREED PROVINCIAL PARTICIPATION CRITERIA.
