The project will increase the capacity of the State Directorate of Health and Family Welfare to monitor its programs, make sure its personnel are adequately trained, and shift the emphasis of services toward younger families. Other measures will be taken to upgrade family welfare facilities and train thousands of practioners who will deliver services to underserved areas in Andrha Pradesh, Mahdya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
