CHOCO-ANDEAN CORRIDOR PROJECT (GEF-MSP)

Development Objective

The project will contribute to the preservation of the threatened biodiversity of the southern section of the Choco-Andean ecosystems in north-western Ecuador, by means of enhancing the effectiveness of the existing protected natural areas, securing the functional connectivity between two major ecosystems of north-western Ecuador, the Choco bioregion and the Andean Cloud forests, and improving the quality, quantity, and availability of environmental information for land-use planning and project follow-up and assessment.
