Development Objective

The project's global environmental objective is to abate greenhouse gas emission s through the use of renewable energy in rural areas to provide electricity. Th is objective is also consistent with the Investment Framework for Clean Energy a nd Development and its goal of accelerating investments to increase energy acces s in developing countries, especially in subsaharan Africa, while reducing globa l carbon emissions.
