Development Objective

The overarching project objectives are to assist the Borrower in (i) rehabilitating and modernizing Jinnah Barrage and carrying outaffiliated works to enable reliable and uninterrupted supply of water for over 2.1 million acres of farmland benefitting about600,000 farm families for irrigation and domestic water users; and (ii) build Punjab Irrigation and Power Department's capacity inimproved water resources and irrigation system management.
