Comment | A national rep. study by SMERU (with ACDP) is ongoing. In BERMUTU Districts: 6.6% primary schools; 6.3% junior. secondary | SMERU did two rounds of absenteeism studies of randomly selected public primary schools teachers in 5 remote districts and 5non-remote districts. The studies found 19% (2003) and 14% (2008) absenteeism rates. A study by the Centre for Policy Study(MOEC) in 2010 of selected primary and junior secondary schools in 20 BERMUTU districts found the absenteeism rates of 8.35%(primary schools)and of 14% (junior secondary schools).
