Development Objective
The proposed project would be developed under the umbrella World Bank financed Guangxi Integrated Forestry Development and Conservation Project. The project development objective is to sequester carbon dioxide and improve the local ecological environment through reforestation on the degraded lands along the Pearl River watershed. The project will be designed to satisfy CCB Standards (Climate, Community and Biodiversity Project Design Standards). The innovation in designing a CCB standards project would promote to simultaneously deliver compelling climate, biodiversity and community benefits from the project.
