Abstract*

The objective of the Xinjiang Turfan Water Conservation Project for China is to mitigate the risk of flooding, reduce groundwater overdraft, increase industrial and domestic water supply, and raise farmers' income from irrigated agriculture in the arid Turpan basin of Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region. Development Objective
