Burkina Faso: Community Monitoring for Service Delivery

Development Objective

The objective of the Project is to support the poorest rural municipalities in planning and implementing local development activities in a participatory and sustainable manner. The Project contributes to the second phase of the National Program for Decentralized Rural Development.The specific objectives of this grant are a) to build community capacity to actively engage in local service delivery outcomes (local empowerment); b) to strengthen transparency and social accountability mechanisms in health and education programs; c) to increase communication and collaboration among different stakeholders involved in providing health and education services; d) to help improve delivery of services at the decentralized level.
