East African Community (EAC) Regional Statistics Development Strategy (RSDS)
Development Objective
The grant is aimed at facilitating the development of the EAC Regional Statistics Development Strategy (RSDS) anchored on the National Strategies for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) of the EAC Partner States. The RSDS will create a framework for harmonized statistics, starting with Government Finance Statistics, and will put emphasis on producers and users of statistics in pursuit of the regional and national government development plans. The RSDS will therefore lead into the development of the EAC region statistical system that will contribute to a firm foundation for national statistical systems of the Partner States.
