Development Objective

The Project supports the Government of Jordan in its efforts to address the Borrower’s weaknesses in the area of governance, fiscal management and public sector efficiency, and private sector-led growth. The proposed DPL2 is built around three pillars, which are also the operation’s Program Development Objectives (PDOs): (i) improve transparency and accountability; (ii) improve debt management and the efficiency of government spending; and (iii) promote private sector-driven growth. The PDOs support key elements of Jordan‘s Executive Development Program and the follow up Government Work Plan 2013-16, the country‘s medium-term development plan.
