Building Gender-Sensitive SPL Systems

Development Objective

This project aims to support and expand the emerging social protection system in Mozambique by piloting a gender-sensitive, inclusive safety nets mechanism to provide temporary income support to extremely poor individuals, mainly women, while delivering social and community services to vulnerable groups in underserved rural and urban areas. The project will contribute to address exclusion and reduce the coverage gap by permitting piloting and learning from this new model of social service delivery, and enabling the GoM to expand coverage of the social protection system to the most vulnerable, particularly women, the elderly and children
