Developing statistical capacity in national accounts, price statistics and purchasing power parities in the CIS region

The development objective of the project is to strengthen the statistical capacity in the national statistical offices (NSOs) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region in the areas of price statistics and national accounts, building on the 2011 round of the International Comparison Program (ICP). Work carried out during the round established and strengthened key statistical capacities of the NSOs, while reinforcing regional collaboration and knowledge sharing. The development objective of the project is to maintain and deepen the achieved skills in compiling and producing internationally comparable national accounts expenditure data, price statistics, and other related statistics and metadata. The expected beneficiaries are the following eleven CIS countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
