Tonga Climate Resilient Transport Project II
Abstract*
Tonga is considered one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to the effects of climate change and natural disasters. The World Risk Index 2019 ranks it third among the top 20 most at-risk countries, with regular storm events such as Tropical Cyclone (TC) Gita in 2018 and TC Harold in 2020 reinforcing infrastructure vulnerabilities in the country.
