Abstract*

Floods and wildfires (with associated extreme heat) in Türkiye in the summer of 2021 led to loss of lives, damaged infrastructure and buildings across many cities and municipalities in Türkiye. These disasters came after the October 30, 2020, Aegean Sea earthquake and tsunami which led to significant damage in Izmir and surrounding areas.
