 Contract Name: 3.2.2.2 – Coastal Fisheries Value Addition Advisor.

 

The Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Project for Pacific Regional Oceanscape Program for Economic Resilience (PROPER) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) include provision of Coastal Fisheries Value Addition Advisor services for the implementation of the Project for Pacific Regional Oceanscape Program for Economic Resilience (PROPER). The Coastal Fisheries Value Addition Advisor is to determine and learn about other seafood value adding methods and processes appropriate to the Marshall Islands which can be implemented in the fish markets and/or at the fishbases beyond current set of value addition practices in RMI. This consulting assignment is a Part-time position and it’s expected to start as soon as possible. The duration will be for 6 months subject to extension.

The detailed scope of services is indicated in the Terms of Reference (TOR) that can be found on the MIMRA website: (www.mimra.com).

MIMRA/PROPER now invites eligible individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services (attach curriculum vitae with description of experience in similar assignments, similar conditions, etc. including a Cover Letter of no more than three (3) pages addressing individually the mandatory and desirable experience and qualification requirements of the position). Firms’ staff may express interest through the employing firm for the assignment and, under such situation, only the experience and qualifications of individuals shall be considered in the selection process. The criteria for selecting the Consultant are as specified in the TOR under the Mandatory Qualifications and Experience.

EOIs must be delivered to the address below or sent through email on or before 04th April 2025 2025, 5:00 pm (local time). The email subject line should state: “PROPER - Coastal Fisheries Value Addition Advisor – full name of the candidate”.  Late applications may be rejected. 

The attention of interested Consultants (including firms) is drawn to paragraph 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 revised November 2017 “Procurement Regulations”, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
