Procurement   of Tele Education/Telemedicine and ICT Equipment

  1. Okay his Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business on, issue no. 811 of November 8, 2011.
  2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from the International

Development Association   and Government of Italy   toward the cost of Ethiopian Diaspora Health and education Professionals Mobilization project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the Contract for Procurement of   Tele Education/Telemedicine and ICT Equipments.

  1. The Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply, (including Installation and testing) of 

Tele Education/Telemedicine and ICT Equipments   for St Paul's Millennium College

                                                                ii.         Tele Education/Telemedicine and ICT Equipments for Adama Hospital

                                                              iii.         Tele Education/Telemedicine and ICT Equipments for Yirgalem hospital   

4.       Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in   the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans   and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.  

5.                Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information fro m Ministry of Health, Procurement Case Team and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:30AM -12:30PM and 1:30 PM -5:30PM from Monday to Friday .

6.       Qualifications requirements include:

a)         Financial Capability: A minimum average annual turnover of two timesthe bid price offered, over the last five years; and

b)         Experience and Technical Capacity: Having successfully completed a minimum of two contracts of similar nature and size within the last fiveyears. Additional details are provided in the bidding documents.

c)         Additional details are provided in the bidding documents. 

 

7.       A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.   Those who want the bid document to be sent by a Courier Service shall pay an additional amount of ETB   595.00 or an equivalent amount in a freely   convertible currency   for a courier service   charge or send a pre paid Courier Service Coupon. The method of payment will be in cash, or Cashier's Payment Order (C.P.O.), or direct deposit to Ministry of Health A/C No 0160101019100 at National Bank of Ethiopia, Swift Number-NBETETAA.

8.       Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00 P.M on May 2, 2012.   Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.   All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of   Birr 100,000.00 (Hundred Thousand Birr only) in local currency or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Bid Security must be in the form of CPO or Bank Guarantee from International Recognized Bank.

9.       Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at the Conference Hall in the New Building B Block of Ministry of Health, Addis Ababa Ethiopia at 2:30 P.M May 2,   2012.
