Assignment Title: Training of instructors of Catering & Tourism Training Centre (CTTC)in Addis Ababa and TVET Centers at Lalibela and Axum

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ministry of Tourism and Culture has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Development Project, and intends to applypart of the proceeds for capacity building training services.
In view of the courses of study being offered by the CTTC and at the selected TVET centres, the instructors will be trained at the firm's facilities in the following disciplines:
1. FoodPreparation and Presentation
2. Food and Beverage Service
3. Food Safety and Hygiene
4. Front Office Management
5. Housekeeping
6. Pastry Making
7. Tourism Marketing
8. Customer Service
9. Tour Planning and Operation
10. Oracle Database and SQL Database
The focus of the training exercise will be on theoretical and practical with the emphasis on practical/experiential learning. This will be undertaken over a two (2) to three (3) week period beginning end of July 2014. A total of twenty-four (24) instructors will participate in two cohorts of twelve (12) each.
The Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Development Project now invites eligibletraining providers ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the required training services. Interested firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the training services.
The short listing criteria are: The training institution which is selected to deliver this training will be a well-established and financially stable organization which is well-reputed in the fieldof hospitality and tourism training as evidenced by an internationally-recognized accreditation. Additionally, the provider will be able tooffer state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for the specific purposes of training. Additionally, all trainers will also be appropriately certified, possessing the requisite combination of professional qualifications, skills and experience, to deliver the required training, inclusive of recognized train-the-trainer certification.
Firms shouldgive information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
Please clearly indicate and substantiate with evidenceof Core business, Years of experience in the business, Qualifications in the field of the assignment, Experience in similar assignments and Regions, Technical and managerial capabilities of the firm, Number of key staff in the firm, Availability of appropriate skills among staff, Qualifications of key staff, Administrative and financial strength, and Client references.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] byWorld Bank Borrowers, May 2004 revised October 2006. ("Consultant Guidelines"), setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
Firms may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
