The Utilities Regulatory Authority ("the URA") is seeking a "Financial Analyst."
The URA is seeking to engagean individual to the position of Financial Analyst for a period of one (1) year with the URA. The Financial Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely regulatory information is disseminated to theteam. The responsibilities involve collecting and analyzing regulatedutilities financial information, auditing and reporting as required. The candidate is to possess excellent skills and experience in workingwith spreadsheets, creating reports and giving presentations.
This position is procured under the World Bank Financial Management procedure. Its annual fee range is US$25,000 to US$28,000.
The candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business management;
- At least 3-5 years experience in audit, corporate finance or investment banking;
- Excellent analytical and financial computing and reporting skills;
- Preferred experience in regulation for utility services;
- Excellent IT skills Office suite, Excel (mandatory) and accounting software;
- Excellent presentation and communication (oral/written) skills;
- Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of French and Bislama is an advantage

About the Utilities Regulatory Authority
The URA was set up under theUtilities Regulatory Authority Act No. 11 of 2007. The Authority actsindependently of the Government and its primary purpose is to increase access to safe, reliable and affordable electricity and water services, and to promote the long-term interests of consumers throughout Vanuatu. In addition, the Authority assists to resolve consumer complaints and disputes and advises the Government on matters related to electricity and water. It also reviews tariffs under the rules of the Concessions Agreements and relevant legislation.
