- Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika – BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology & Geophysics Agency) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Indonesia Disaster Resilience Initiatives Project (IDRIP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Strengthening the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure and Processing System.
- Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika – BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology & Geophysics Agency) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Enhancing the IT capacity and computational infrastructure for disaster mitigation with a specific focus on fortifying geophysical modelling (tsunami) and numerical weather prediction models. The comprehensive project scope encompasses the planning and acquisition of essential components, including High-Performance Computers, Virtualization Servers, Storage, Geoscience Ecosystem, Services/Applications, and Infrastructure Support. The augmentation of these systems is slated for implementation at the BMKG Headquarters in Jakarta and the BMKG Regional Office III in Bali.
- Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 as indicated in Loan Agreement, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Mr. Shendyko Wicaksono, The Chairperson of Pokja Pemilihan IDRIP, Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika-BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency) and inspect the bidding document during office hours 07.30 to 16.00 Jakarta Time through email address: pokja.idrip@bmkg.go.id.
- The bidding document in the English can be sent to the interested Bidders through email upon the submission of a written application to the email address: pokja.idrip@bmkg.go.id. No payment needed for the bidding documents. - Bids must be sent through encrypted email to the Purchaser’s email address: pokja.idrip@bmkg.go.id before May 21th, 2024 at 13.00 Jakarta time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened by virtual meeting in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend on the virtual meeting link http://bit.ly/MeetingUKPBJBMKG on May 21th, 2024 at 13.30 Jakarta time.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
