Ministry of Industry and Technology (MoIT), The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and KOSGEB, through the Ministry of Treasury and Finance (MoTF), has obtained financing from the World Bank (“the Bank”) towards the implementation of the Türkiye Green Industry Project (TGIP, “the Project”).
Ministry of Industry and Technology (MoIT) will serve as the main implementing agency for the Project. KOSGEB will serve as the implementing agency for the Project and will allocate 250 million USD out of the total project budget of USD 450 million, and the project duration is six years. The overall objective of the Project is to support an efficient green transformation for industrial firms in Türkiye. The implementation period for the project is 6 years.
KOSGEB will establish a Project Implementation Unit (PIU) within its administrative structure, reporting to the World Bank, and will manage the project activities in collaboration with all other stakeholders.
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Türkiye (KOSGEB) now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services described in the related Terms of Reference. The duties, numbers, and contract numbers of consultants to be recruited are given in the table below. Hiring Methodology
The Consultants will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" (effective since July 1, 2016, and revised in November 2017, August 2018, and November 2020). Interested Consultants are advised to review paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank's Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers - November 2020, which outline the World Bank's policy on conflicts of interest.
The contracted position will be that of a Consultant within the TGIP PIU in Ankara. The contract will be executed between the KOSGEB or its designated representative and the Consultant.
Duration and Location of Employment
The Consultant is expected to start in the second quarter 2024 under a one-year contract, including a two-month probationary period. This contract may be extended if the Specialist's performance is deemed satisfactory, for the duration of the Project, which spans six years. The Consultants will work on a full-time or part-time basis for the Project and will be based in Ankara.
