The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ministry of Finance (MoF), has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ethiopia Digital ID for Inclusion and Services Project.  National ID Program, the ultimate project implementer intends to apply part of the proceeds for selecting of individual experts.

National ID Program as part of the project implementation program is looking for an Individual expert that supports the NIDP on Branding, Communication and Event Management.  Experienced individual experts who have experience, seasoned, enthusiastic and passionate for the position of Branding Communications and Event Coordinator are invited to express their interest for the assignment.

The Branding Communications and Event Coordinator is will play a pivotal role in seamlessly integrating the program’s brand identity into all aspects of events, ensuring a cohesive and impactful experience for attendees. This includes maintaining brand consistency across materials such as signage, merchandise, and digital assets, while strategically planning themes that align with organizational goals. The coordinator tailor’s communication and promotional efforts to engage the target audience, enhancing participation and creating lasting impressions.

Specific responsibilities for the Branding Communications and Event Coordinator will include, but are not limited to, the following core activities:

 

  1. Branding:
  • Brand Strategy Support: Assist in developing and implementing branding strategies across various platforms (digital, print, social media, etc.).
  • Brand Guidelines: Ensure that all branding materials and communications align with the company’s brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with designers and content creators to develop brand assets including promotional materials, digital graphics, and presentation templates.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to stay updated on branding trends, consumer behavior, and competitor analysis.
  • Brand Consistency: Monitor brand consistency across all touchpoints, including internal communications, marketing collateral, website, social media, and public-facing materials.

 

  1. Event Coordination:
  • Event Planning: participate in planning, organize, and execute corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, webinars, seminars, product launches, and client meetings. This includes attending (representing) NIDP at external events and giving awareness.
  • Vendor Management: Support event managers in identifying, negotiating, and collaborating with vendors (venues, caterers, AV suppliers, etc.) to ensure event success.
  • Promotion and Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events via digital campaigns, social media, email marketing, and other channels.
  • On-Site Event Management: Oversee event setup, coordination, and execution to ensure a seamless experience for attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback, assess success, and identify opportunities for improvement in future events.

 

National ID Program, Digital ID for Inclusion and Services Project now invites eligible Individual Experts to indicate their interest to provide the Services. Interested Individual Experts should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services for a period of one year with possibility of extension for additional period subject to outstanding performance of the expert and availability of budget. The shortlisting criteria include the following;

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism and communication and other related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and executing successful events in relation to public audiences and media engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, excel, PPT with demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Experience of negotiating deals with suppliers and contractors
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – a true ‘people person’ happy to talk to anyone and everyone.
  • Strong multi-tasker with experience of juggling numerous projects and deadlines.
  • Professionalism regarding time and delivery deadlines (Highly valued).

 

The selection method is based on para 7.36 and 7.37 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulation.

The attention of interested individual is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”) revised November 2017, August 2018, September 2023, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.  An individual will be selected in accordance with the Selection of Individual Consultant (Section V) method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
